PALM COAST TILE
Tile installation in Bunnell homes
Bunnell is the county seat of Flagler County, with a mix of older homes in town, newer subdivisions and houses on larger rural lots. Most of them sit on a concrete slab, and the slab decides more about how a tile floor turns out than the tile itself.
Whether you just bought a new home with builder-grade floors or you are updating a house that has been in the family for years, we can come out, measure and talk through the tile you have in mind.
FLOORS
Getting the slab right before tile
Most tile floor problems start underneath the tile. These are the things we check on every Bunnell floor before any tile goes down.
Flatness
Dips and humps in the slab show up as uneven edges, especially with long plank-style or large-format tile. Low spots are filled and leveled first.
Cracks in the slab
Small shrinkage cracks are common. We look at each one and use a crack membrane where needed so the crack does not come through the new tile.
Moisture
Slabs hold moisture, especially after a wet summer. We check before installing so the right setting materials and underlayment are used.
Old flooring removal
Carpet, old tile and leftover adhesive are removed and the surface is cleaned so the new tile bonds properly.

F.A.Q
Frequently asked questions
Do you work in Bunnell?
Yes. Our shop is in Palm Coast, about 20 minutes from Bunnell, and we work there regularly.
My new home has builder-grade tile. Can you replace it?
Yes. We remove the old tile and adhesive, check the slab, level where needed and install the new tile.
Can tile go over my existing floor?
Sometimes. The existing floor has to be solid and flat, and the added height has to work at doors and appliances. We look at both at the estimate.
Do I need to buy the tile myself?
You can. Many customers pick and buy their own tile. If you have not chosen yet, we can tell you what suits the room and how much to order.
How do I get an estimate?
Call or text (386) 237-7999 with the room and a few photos. We set up a time to see it, measure and then give you a price. The estimate is free.
